This is a very special and rare piece of opaline glass which has hidden pink depths when it catches the light.
I was delighted to find this piece on my last trip to the north east of England. Opalescent glass is characterized by a milky, iridescent effect, which can be achieved through various techniques, such as adding bone ash or other materials to the glass during the manufacturing process!
I’ve set it on a 7mm sterling silver ring with a textured pattern that reminds me of the sea.
